Chalkdown visit Saint Ronan's School with Fell Pony, Lara

This could only happen at Saint Ronan’s! We are hugely grateful to this very special school for their kindness and support.

Pauline Roestenburg, Chalkdown Chair

On Friday 4th March Chalkdown Riding for the Disabled Group of Staplehurst, Kent visited Saint Ronan’s School in Hawkhurst to give a presentation to the children and staff about the work they do.

The RDA Group has many connections with the school and a former member of staff is one of their regular riders.

Not only did the group take along examples of equipment and tack for their talk but also a pony! There were gasps of delight from 250 children and staff when Lara, Chalkdown’s 26 year old Fell Pony, made a surprise guest appearance through the French doors into The Great Space.
