Chief Executive of RDA National joins South East regional event for “The Big Ride” fundraiser

The Chief Executive of Riding for the Disabled, joined RDA riders and volunteers at a regional event to bring The Big Ride to the area to raise urgent funds for the development of a new national training facility and Headquarters. Sam Orde visited from the Midlands as part of her 20 UK wide rides, joining the South East Region’s annual Endurance Event which was hosted by Bradbourne’s RDA Group near Sevenoaks.
The aim is to achieve at least 1000km in an accumulative total of endurance rides from RDA riders, carriage drivers and volunteers. Sam has taken up the gauntlet over the summer months to fundraise for the new National Training Project to create a facility that will inspire RDA generations to come.
“I am riding an average of 15km at each event depending on abilities” said Sam. “Today I rode the 1km circuit with other competitors as well as a 10km loop around the farmlands with some of the volunteers from the area. The Weald setting is simply superb. It’s such a treat”.
