AB WHIP AND HELPERS TRAINING DAY
SANDS FARM
WEDNESDAY 13TH JUNE 2007

A well-attended and interesting session was held on Wednesday. All the driving groups in the SE were represented except the one group that was away on a holiday and therefore unable to join in.

Minta Winn asked that the attendees should get into groups of mixed ability and by using the props she had brought with her, set up some training for our disabled drivers for the times they are at their session, but not actually driving. The suggestions caused much discussion with the audience and all went back to their groups with many new ideas for their drivers' progression. It is hoped that this progression will lead to more of our drivers being able to take the RDA's Graded Proficiency Tests.

At the end of the session a number of AB whips and those who hope to become AB's were able to practice their long-reining, using one of Minta's ponies.
